This specimen was lot 1638 in Stacks-Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2015), where it sold for $3,818.75. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWEDEN. 2 Daler Plate Money, 1674. Karl XI (1660-97). 9.5 x 10 in. KM-PM18; AAH-275; BT-E11. VERY RARE (Tingstrom: 45 examples known including 2 pieces from the Nicobar). All stamps well struck and nearly complete. The denomination stamp is particularly bold and sharp, with four full dates. Very original surfaces with pleasing chocolate patina. A remarkably choice large format early plate that rivals the size of some later 4 Dalers. Produced on an exceptionally well made and uniform sheet of copper."
