This specimen was lot 1920 in Künker sale 293 (Osnabruck, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €5,500 (about US$7,413 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"FRANKREICH/ELSASS, STRASSBURG, STADT, Reichstaler 1679, auf den Frieden von Nijmegen. Dav-5847; Engel/Lehr 602; Pax in Nummis -. Sehr selten in dieser Erhaltung. Prachtexemplar mit herrlicher Tönung. Vorzüglich-Stempelglanz. Erworben 1969 von Jean Vinchon, Paris. (French states, city of Strasbourg, thaler of 1679, on the Peach if Nijmegen. Very rare in this quality, prooflike with beautiful toning, extremely fine to uncirculated.)"
