This specimen was lot 31721 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it sold for $6,600. The catalog description[1] noted, "British Colony. George V Proof 5 Cents 1926 PR63 NGC, KM 36. A seldom seen and extremely attractive proof, seemingly unlisted by Pridmore for this year and thus worthy of further study. With brilliant white surfaces accentuated by the faint hairlines archetypal of polished dies, the crisp portrait of George V displays its full lush detail to a degree not seen on even contemporary British coins. KM lists no mintage figure for this type, only an arbitrary value of $2,800 in this grade; however, its rarity and eye appeal merits a re-reflection on the value of this specimen. Worthy of special attention, as this is the only Proof example of this date we have seen and we can reference no other piece having been sold."
