This specimen was lot 21543 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), where it sold for $3,600. The catalog description[1] noted, "SPAIN. Valencia. 2 Ducados, ND. Fernando V (1504-16). NGC EF-40. Fr-85; Cayon-2212. Crowned bust left in circular Gothic frame; Reverse: Crowned lozenge-shaped Arms of five vertical stripes (pales), legend '+ VALENCIE x MAIO (tiny lion rampant shield) RICARVM x SERD.', titles King of Valencia, Majorca (Balearics) and Sardinia. Virtually Mint State in terms of wear, with some bold doubling in the portrait (but detail that remain otherwise sharp) and several blended marks in the fields that determine the grade. VERY RARE as an issue, this being only the second (including this piece) to appear in archived auction records dating back to 2001."
