This specimen was lot 34480 in Heritage sale 3042 (Long Beach, September 2015), where it sold for $352.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Ferdinand VII 1/2 Real 1833 M-JI MS65 NGC, Madrid mint, KM 482.2. Gem Unicirculated with rich old patina, a razor sharp strike and full mint luster. Likely the finest specimen extant of this scarcer assayer initials combination for this final date of the type, and very desirable as such."

m. unknown. 1.69 g, .812 fine silver. struck 1815-33 (Madrid), 1825-33 (Seville) and 1814 (Cadiz). Assayer AJ more common than JI.
