This specimen was lot 30509 in Heritage sale 3042 (Long Beach, September 2015), where it sold for $1,233.75. The catalog description[1] noted, " Lanarkshire. Five Shillings Countermark on a Ferdinand VII Mexico 8 Reales ND (1811) VG10 PCGS, New Lanark. Robert Owen's Lanark Mills. PAYABLE AT LANARK MILLS countermarked on the obverse in a large circle with 5/ in the center. Very rare."
KM CC66 shows this counterstamp on a 1794 bust dollar with a rather high price but lower than most other Scottish counterstamps. The SCWC shows over a hundred different.
