This specimen was lot 1377 in Künker sale 263 (Osnabrück, June 2015), where it sold for €340 (about US$439 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWARZBURG-RUDOLSTADT, GRAFSCHAFT, SEIT 1711 FÜRSTENTUM Ludwig Günther II. 1767-1790. Konv.-Taler 1780, Saalfeld, auf die zweite Vermählung seines Sohnes, Erbprinz Friedrich Karl, mit Auguste, Tochter des Herzogs Johann August von Sachsen-Gotha. Dav-2770; Fischer 574. Attraktives Exemplar mit herrlicher Patina, fast vorzüglich. (principality of Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt, Louis Gunther II, 1767-90, convention thaler of 1780, Saalfeld mint, on the second marriage of his son, Crown Prince Friedrich Karl, to Auguste, daughter of the Duke Johann August of Saxe-Gotha. Attractive toning, choice extremely fine.)"
