This specimen was lot 31531 in Heritage sale 3049 (Long Beach, September 2016), where it sold for $1,645. The catalog description[1] noted, "Schwyz. City Taler 1653 VF Details (Excessive Surface Hairlines) NGC, KM 24, Dav-4629, HMZ-2788a. Depicting St. Martin on horseback sharing his cloak with a beggar, and the crowned, double-headed imperial eagle design. The surfaces are attractively toned to a gunmetal shade, with light hairlines present throughout and mild adjustment marks that transverse the centers. A scarce issue at all levels, still very much coveted when encountered as such. Ex. LHS Auction 2006. From the Redwood Collection, Part II."
