This specimen was lot 1252 in Künker sale 263 (Osnabrück, June 2015), where it sold for €4,000 (about US$5,168 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SACHSEN, KÖNIGREICH Friedrich August II. 1836-1854. Taler 1839, G. Münzbesuch. Mit Randschrift: * GOTT * SEGNE * SACHSEN *. AKS 113; Dav-876; Kahnt 447; Thun 321. Von großer Seltenheit. Vorzüglich. (kingdom of Saxony, Frederick August II, 1836-54, thaler of 1839, mint visit, with edge lettering. Very rare, extremely fine.)"
