This specimen was lot 1217 in Künker sale 263 (Osnabrück, June 2015), where it sold for €1,200 (about US$1,550 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SACHSEN, KURFÜRSTENTUM Friedrich August II. 1733-1763. Reichstaler 1740, Dresden, auf das Vikariat. Dav-2668; Schnee 1031. R Gestopftes Loch, fast sehr schön. (Electorate of Saxony, Frederick August II, 1733-63, thaler of 1740, Dresden mint, on the vicariat. Plugged, very fine.)"
