This specimen was lot 30910 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it sold for $5,040. The catalog description[1] noted, "Saxe-Weissenfels. Johann Adolf I Taler 1686-SQ MS63 NGC, Weissenfels mint, KM 20, Dav-7663. Intricately detailed over both sides with alluring intermingled gold, rose and blue iridescent tone that sits atop surfaces that possess impressive reflective gleam. A rare type, struck upon the death of Johann Adolf I's wife, and long adored for its depiction of Christ, staff in hand, carrying a lamb on his shoulders. Easily the finest quality we've seen for the issue as well, and as such, sure to excite the collector specializing in elite pictorial issues. From the Jamestown Collection."

one year type, KM XF $2,250. Saxe-Weissenfels lasted 1656-1746.
