This specimen was lot 1332 in Künker sale 263 (Osnabrück, June 2015), where it sold for €2,000 (about US$2,584 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SACHSEN-SAALFELD, HERZOGTUM, AB 1735 SACHSEN-COBURG-SAALFELD Ernst I. 1806-1826. Konv.-Taler 1817. Mit Randschrift: EIN SPECIES (Rosette) THALER (Verzierungen). AKS 126; Dav-832; Kahnt 501 c; Thun 372. Prachtexemplar. Herrliche Patina, fast Stempelglanz. (duchy of Saxe-Saalfeld, Ernest I, 1806-26, convention thaler of 1817 with edge lettering. Proof example, toned choice extremely fine.)"
