This specimen was lot 1286 in Künker sale 263 (Osnabrück, June 2015), where it sold for €2,600 (about US$3,359 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SACHSEN-ALTENBURG, HERZOGTUM Friedrich Wilhelm II. 1639-1669. Reichstaler 1669, Saalfeld, auf seinen Tod. Dav-7404; Kernbach 63.2; Kozinowski/Otto/Ruß 442; Schnee 331. RR Sehr attraktives Exemplar mit prachtvoller Patina, sehr schön-vorzüglich. (duchy of Saxe-Altenburg, Frederick William II, 1639-69, thaler of 1669, Saalfeld mint, on his death. Rare, very attractive example with outstanding patina, very fine to extremely fine.)"
