This specimen was lot 33623 in Heritage sale 3073 (Chicago, April 2019), where it sold for $1,020. The catalog description[1] noted, "Nicholas I gold 5 Roubles 1839 CПБ-AЧ MS62 NGC, St. Petersburg mint, KM-C175.1, Bit-16. Obv. Crowned double-headed eagle with orb and scepter. Date and value in beaded circle. Many interesting die-breaks as the die appears to be very close to failure. This example is well struck, and lustrous, with light marks."
