This specimen was lot 31750 in Heritage sale 3073 (Chicago, April 2019), where it sold for $2,880. The catalog description[1] noted, "Alexander I gold 5 Roubles 1817 CПБ-ФГ AU58 NGC, St. Petersburg mint, KM-C132, Bit-18. Obv. Crowned double-headed eagle with wings down and date and value in the legend. Rev. Crowned four-line inscription in wreath. Bold strike with near-full luster, light contact marks, and surface hairlines. Very rare."

6.54 g, .917 fine gold, struck 1817-25, m. 710,000. first five rubles since 1805. all dates are expensive, no date obtains a premium.
