The catalog description[1] noted, "Exceedingly Rare Choice AU Paul I Poltina (1/2 Rouble) 1797 CM-ФЦ, St. Petersburg mint, Bitkin-21 (R), Severin-2400, KM-C99.1, AU58 NGC. Obv. Cruciform crowned Imperial monogram with the date. Rev. Four-line legend in garnished tablet. Fully lustrous beneath attractive lavender and argent-gray toning with a touch of rubbing on the highpoints. An extremely rare type, particularly in AU and finer conditions."
