This specimen was part of lot 21368 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Anaheim, CA, August 2016), which sold for $1,997.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "ROMANIA. 50 Bani & Leu, 1910. Brussels Mint. NGC PROOF-65. Stamb-67-1.1; KM-41 & 42. Reeded edge, coin die axis, without ESSAI markings. Nicely matched GEM PROOF examples of these production type issues. Extremely deep toning loaded with color, and with generous amounts of mirrored surface serving to remind of the coin's proof status. From the E.E. Clain-Stefanelli Collection."
