This specimen was lot 1575 in Jean Elsen sale 136 (Brussels, March 2018), where it sold for €1,350 (about US$1,982 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"PORTUGAL, Joao V (1706-1750), AV meia peça (3200 reis), 1732, sans marque d'atelier (Lisbonne). D/ T. l. à d. R/ Ecu couronné, dans un cartouche orné. Gomes 50.11; Fr-88. 7,07g Rare. Très Beau. (kingdom of Portugal, John V, 1706-50, gold half peça of 1732, without mintmark. Obverse: laureate head to right; reverse: crowned arms in a baroque cartouche. Rare, very fine.)"
