This specimen was lot 21597 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Chicago, August 2019), where it sold for $10,200. The catalog description[1] noted, "[[Poland|POLAND]. 25 Zlotych, 1825-IB. Alexander I. PCGS AU-55. Bit-814; HCz-3527; KM-C-102a. Mintage: 636. Quite RARE, this issue of the Congress Kingdom of Poland is ever in demand and fiercely contested upon its uncommon appearances at auction. The present offering exhibits some chatter throughout the fields, but despite the circulation wear the devices remain quite sharp with some luster remaining and the patina is warm and well developed. From the Collection of Dr. James Eustace Bizzell, II."
4.89 g, .917 fine gold, m. 636, struck 1818, 1822-25, 1828 for Alexander I.
