This specimen was lot 31302 in Heritage sale 3049 (Long Beach, September 2016), where it sold for $1,028.13. The catalog description[1] noted, "Nicholas I Zloty 1840-MW MS65 NGC, Warsaw mint, Parch-1031p, KM -C129. Obv. Crowned Imperial eagle. Rev. Date and value. Silvery-gray, and gold, patina over fully lustrous surfaces. The strike is superb and no significant flaws are noted. Extremely rare in this Gem condition, with none certified finer by NGC, and PCGS, with one other piece certified in MS65."
