This specimen was lot 21305 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Anaheim, CA, August 2016), where it sold for $1,292.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "PERU. 2 Escudos, 1850-MB. Lima Mint. NGC MS-64. Fr-65; KM-149.2. SCARCE in this lofty grade, with the typical weakness seen in the centers of the devices and smooth mark free fields. Far nicer than nearly all other surviving examples, and worthy of a serious bid."
