This specimen was lot 22375 in Heritage sale 3021 (New York, January 2013), where it sold for $8,812.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Felipe V gold Cob 8 Escudos 1708 L-H, KM38.1, PCGS Genuine, mount removed, (AU cleaned), nicely centered obverse details with a bold date, mintmark and assayer. The reverse features a full cross albeit slightly off-center. The surfaces show some evidence of cleaning but are attractive nonetheless and the mount removal noted by PCGS is not immediately visible in the holder. Rare and ever-popular coinage."
