This specimen was lot 623 in Jean Elsen sale 132 (Brussels, March 2017), where it sold for €65 (about US$82 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"ITALIE, ETATS PONTIFICAUX, Innocent XII (1691-1700), (Antonio Pignatelli), AR giulio, 1696, an 5, Rome. D/ Armoiries. R/ Dans un cartouche orné: ELEVAT/ PAVPEREM. Munt. 58; Berman 2261. 2,98 g. Très Beau. (Italy, Pontifical State, Innocent XII (1691-1700), silver giulio of 1696, year 5, Rome mint. Obverse: arms; reverse: motto in ornate cartouche. Very fine.)"
KM 593. 3.05 g, .917 fine silver. one of four giulii with the motto ELEVAT/ PAVPEREM. this is the only giulio dated 1696. also known for 1697.
