This specimen was lot 1966 in Classical Numismatic Group's auction of the Robert Lissner collection (Chicago, August 2014), where it sold for $193.60. The catalog description[1] noted, "NICARAGUA, Republic. 1838-pres. CU-NI 5 Centavos. Philadelphia mint. Dated 1930. In NGC encapsulation graded MS 64. Choice brilliant uncirculated with just a hint of patina overall. Only specimen of this date graded. Very scare date and very rarely seen in this grade."

KM 12; Y 12. mtg 100,000. 5 g, copper-nickel, 21.2 mm diameter; this specimen 21 mm, 5.02 g, 6h axis.
