This specimen was lot 30254 in Heritage sale 3042 (Long Beach, September 2015), where it sold for $1,468.75. The catalog description[1] noted, "Elizabeth II Proof 1/2 Crown 1965 PR66 Cameo NGC, KM29.2. An exquisite Proof example of this otherwise common type, with frosty design elements and deeply-mirrored fields. Both sides present a pleasing amount of champagne coloration that brightens the surfaces, although some haziness does exists in the areas surrounding the Queen's portrait. An overall sparkling jewel, most desirable in this deluxe quality."
