This specimen was lot 626 in Classical Numismatic Group's sale of the Lissner Collection (Chicago, August 2014), where it sold for $1,149.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "MALAY ARCHIPELAGO, Colonial. Nederlands-Oost-Indië (Netherlands East Indies). Bataafse Republiek (Batavian Republic). 1799-1806. AR 1/4 Gulden (23mm, 2.67 g, 1h). Enkhuizen mint; im: star. Dated 1802. KM 81; Cr 40; Scholten 492. In NGC encapsulation graded MS 66. Highest ever graded. Gem UNC with very light patina over fully lustrous surfaces. Purchased from Century Stamp & Coin." 2.65 g, .917 fine silver, also struck in gold. Sold for six times the catalog value.
