This specimen was lot 627 in Classical Numismatic Group's sale of the Lissner Collection (Chicago, August 2014), where it sold for $1,089. The catalog description[1] noted, "MALAY ARCHIPELAGO, Colonial. Nederlands-Oost-Indië (Netherlands East Indies). Bataafse Republiek (Batavian Republic). 1799-1806. AR 1/2 Gulden (22mm, 5.29 g, 1h). Enkhuizen mint; im: star. Dated 1802. KM 82; Cr 40.1; Scholten 490. In NGC encapsulation graded MS 65. Highest ever graded. Cameo iridescent patina over very lustrous surfaces. Purchased from F. S. Werner, October 1971." 5.38 g, .916 fine silver, also struck in gold. Sold for three times the catalog value.
