This specimen was lot 662 in Classical Numismatic Group's sale of the Lissner Collection (Chicago, July 2014), where it sold for $968. The catalog description[1] noted, "NETHERLANDS, Kingdom. William II. 1840-1849. Proof AR 5 Cents (12mm, 0.67 g, 5h). Utrecht mint; muntmeestertekens: sword and winged caduceus. H.A. van den Wall Bake, mintmaster. Dated 1848. KM 74; Cr 87; Schulman 537. In NGC encapsulation graded Proof 66. A superb toned gem proof and one of the rarest coins of the modern Netherlands, only 230 were struck. Purchased from Thomas Faistauer." mintage 6,859,006. silver, .640 fine, 1.4 g, 15 mm. type of 1848-49; scarce but not rare.
