This specimen was lot 1038 in Jean Elsen sale 140 (Brussels, March 2019), where it sold for €870 (about US$1,159 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"ITALIE, NAPLES et SICILE, Ferdinand II (1830-1859), AV 3 ducati, 1845. 5e type. P. & R. 46; Fr-869. Rare Fines griffes. Très Beau à Superbe. (kingdom of the Two Sicilies, Ferdinand II, 1830-59, gold three ducati of 1845, fifth type. Rare, fine scratches, Very Fine - Extremely Fine.)"
KM 353, 3.78 g, .996 fine gold, 18.5 mm diameter, struck 1842, 1845-48, generally scarce.
