This specimen was lot 1035 in Jean Elsen sale 139 (Brussels, December 2018), where it sold for €1,700 (about US$2,269 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"MONACO, Honoré II (1604-1662), AR écu (60 sols), 1653. Rosette initiale. D/ B. dr. et cuir. à d. R/ Ecu couronné, avec la devise DEO· IVVANTE·. Gad. 30; Dav-4306. 25,14 g Rare Flan large. Très Beau. (principality of Monaco, Honoré II, 1604-62, silver écu of sixty sols of 1653, rose privy mark. Obverse: draped and armored bust to right; reverse: crowned arms with the motto DEO JUVANTE; rare, large planchet, Very Fine.)"
