This specimen was lot 1234 in Sedwick sale 25 (Winter Park, FL, May 2018), where it sold for $261.80. The catalog description[1] noted, "Durango, Mexico, cap-and-rays 8 reales, 1874CM, NGC MS 61, Resplandores Plate Coin. KM-377.4; DP-Do55. Lustrous fields with traces of rainbow toning, some darker areas over cap and rays, sharply detailed eagle, small scratch below eagle's wing, desirable pedigree. NGC #4625464-002. Plated in Dunigan and Parker's Resplandores (1997) and with paper flip from past collector."
1874-DoCM, 1874/3-DoCM common, 1874-DoJH rare. CM for 1873-77, JH for 1874-75.
