This specimen was lot 23307 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), where it sold for $432. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 1/2 Escudo, 1855-DoCP. Durango Mint. PCGS MS-62 Secure Holder. Fr-111; KM-378.1. A gleaming example of the VERY SCARCE date, with flashy hints of reflectivity in the fields and centers that are just short of complete. The single finest graded example of the date at PCGS or NGC."
