This specimen was lot 23296 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), where it sold for $180. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 1/2 Escudo, 1837/4-DoRM. Durango Mint. PCGS Genuine--Cleaned, Unc Details Secure Holder. Fr-111; KM-378.1. Sharply detailed with light evidence of cleaning in the fields. Although not attributed on the PCGS insert, an obvious overdate with clear remnants of a 4 visible beneath the final "7" in the date."
