This specimen was lot 21377 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), where it sold for $4,800. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 1/2 Escudo, 1829-GaFS. PCGS MS-64+ Secure Holder. Fr-113; KM-378.2. Intricately detailed throughout the design with strong reflective gleam in the fields and rich orange tone around portions of the legends. RARE as a date as well, this being the only example thus far certified, with no uncertified examples appearing in a search of archived auction records."
