This specimen was lot 71277 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, May 2018), where it sold for $336. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Real, 1838/7-GoPJ. NGC MS-66. KM-372.6. Single finest graded of the date at either NGC or PCGS. Sharply struck with bright fields and strong purple-blue toning along the periphery on both sides. An exceptional gem that will fit perfectly into any collection."
listed as a better date in circulated condition but one of the few dates known to come nice. overdate only
