This specimen was lot 41171 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2019), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 2 Reales Royal, 1715-Mo J. Mexico City Mint. Philip V (1700-46). NGC VF Details--Holed. KM-R35; Cal-type-211#1257. 6.25 grams. Like the 1715 Royal Real in this auction, this example is incredibly wholesome and of high quality, being well centered and struck with even, dark toning, the only (inevitable) detraction being a hole at twelve o'clock. EXTREMELY RARE and thus an important coin for the Spanish colonial specialist."
