This specimen was lot 3150 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2017), where it sold for $2,350. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Escudo, 1833-DoRM/RL. NGC MS-64. Fr-99; KM-379.1. Impressive uncirculated piece with a crisp strike showing a touch of weakness to the centers as normally encountered. Over assayer is clear. Silken unfettered surfaces throughout with full mint bloom and mild orange toning. Tied with one example of the overdate variety as the finest certified example for the year. Attractive glowing luster and quite attractive."
