This specimen was lot 42589 in Stack's Bowers Winter sale (Baltimore, November 2015), where it sold for $329. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 8 Reales, 1837-GoPJ. PCGS AU-58 Secure Holder. KM-377.8; DP-Go19. Premium quality for the grade and with a sharp exacting strike that brings all of the detail to life. Far nicer than the assigned grade might imply."
