This specimen was lot 33479 in Heritage sale 3073 (Chicago, April 2019), where it sold for $1,560. The catalog description[1] noted, "Republic 8 Reales 1835/3/1 Do-RM/RL MS62 PCGS, Durango mint, KM 377.4, DP-Do12. A scarcer subtype according to Dunigan and Parker, characteristically extensive die cracking visible on the obverse, the reverse especially thick with die polish lines and showcasing a pleasing relief to the eagle."
