This specimen was lot 31366 in Heritage sale 3041 (Chicago, August 2015), where it sold for $1,175. The catalog description[1] noted, "Ferdinand VII gold 1/2 Escudo 1817 Mo-JJ AU55 NGC, Mexico City mint, KM112, Cal-364. Some softness noted on the reverse motif, but with a pleasing amount of residual luster. Scarce at this level of preservation, and currently the finest-known certified example of this date. From The Rudman Collection of Mexican Coins."
