This specimen was lot 31320 in Heritage sale 3041 (Chicago, August 2015), where it sold for $940. The catalog description[1] noted, "Charles IV gold 4 Escudos 1801 Mo-FT XF45 NGC, Mexico City mint, KM 144, Cal-222. Variety with the FT assayer initials (Francisco Arance and Tomas Butron). A tad better detailed than the previous lot, yet with less vibrant luster remaining. A surprisingly scarce date in this pleasant grade, and noticeably better than both the Gerber and Eliasberg examples. From The Rudman Collection of Mexican Coins."
