This specimen was lot 31318 in Heritage sale 3041 (Chicago, August 2015), where it sold for $881.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "Charles IV gold 4 Escudos 1800 Mo-FM XF45 NGC, Mexico City mint, KM 144, Cal-220. Partially lustrous and with the expected wear for the designation. A couple of small scratches over the bust are mentioned for accuracy's sake, yet blend in nicely with the attractive toning. Scarce and quite collectible in this preservation. From The Rudman Collection of Mexican Coins."
