This specimen was lot 31211 in Heritage sale 3041 (Chicago, August 2015), where it sold for $940. The catalog description[1] noted, "Charles III gold 4 Escudos 1772 Mo-FM VF35 NGC, Mexico City mint, KM 142.1, Cal-328. Attractive for the designation, with even wear, good details remaining, and no distracting handling marks. A wholesome and affordable example of this elusive and much underrated two-year subtype, featuring inverted mintmark and assayer initials in the reverse legend. From The Rudman Collection of Mexican Coins."
