This specimen was lot 31193 in Heritage sale 3041 (Chicago, August 2015), where it sold for $282. The catalog description[1] noted, "Charles III gold 2 Escudos 1781 Mo-FF/FM VF Details (Mount Removed) NGC, Mexico City mint, KM 130.2, cf. Cal-484 (unlisted overassayer). Harvest-gold colored with surfaces that are consistent with having been in jewelry. Even so, this is a pleasing coin with a clear overassayer. From The Rudman Collection of Mexican Coins."
