This specimen was lot 31104 in Heritage sale 3041 (Chicago, August 2015), where it sold for $3,055. The catalog description[1] noted, "Ferdinand VI gold 2 Escudos 1754 Mo-MF XF45 NGC, Mexico City mint, KM 126.2, Cal-164. A well-detailed coin with attractive surfaces and hints of subdued luster throughout. A charming type coin, in unusually fine condition for this rare issue, and a very rare date, missing in Norweb, Gerber and Eliasberg and with no actual sales recorded in Burzio. Ex. Porraz Collection (Ponterio 6/1985, lot 177, for $1,100), From The Rudman Collection of Mexican Coins."
