This specimen was lot 31353 in Heritage sale 3035 (Long Beach, September 2014), where it sold for $11,750. The catalog description^[1] noted, "Republic gold 20 Pesos 1870 Oa-E MS62 NGC, Oaxaca mint, KM 414.7, Fr-126. A lustrous and attractive Mint State coin, with only the expected handling marks at this designation and well struck. The gold 20 Pesos of the Oaxaca mint represent a rare four-year type, altogether missing from the Norweb and Eliasberg collections and only represented by a single date in the Pablo Gerber group. Naturally, Mint State coins are rarely available and much sought after and this example shall prove no different. We expect serious competition to secure it. From The FoxLair Collection."
