This specimen was lot 25109 in Heritage sale 3024 (Chicago, April 2013), where it sold for $5,581.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "Felipe V gold 4 Escudos 1735 Mo-MF, KM 135, AU58 NGC, a boldly struck example of this desirable type with essentially full detail and light reddish blushes on both sides that enhance the appeal. A great opportunity for the specialist, as no Mint State examples of this type and only 7 examples at the AU58 level have been graded by NGC."
