This specimen was lot 31250 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it sold for $1,800. The catalog description[1] noted, "British Colony. Victoria Proof 10 Cents 1878 PR66 NGC, London mint, KM 10.1. A gorgeous premium Gem example of this rare Proof that exhibits reflective surfaces that appear virtually flawless and rich multicolored patina over both sides with heavy saturations of blue, purple, green and red color. Tied with one other example for the finest example certified by either NGC or PCGS. From the Jamestown Collection."
1.16 g, .800 fine silver, struck 1877-78, 1882-83, 1886, 1889, 1897. m. 50,000, fairly common circulated.
