This specimen was lot 30938 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it sold for $900. The catalog description[1] noted, "British Colony. George III Type II countermarked Quarter Dollar or 2 Bits ND (1761-64) VG Details (Scratches) NGC, KM3 (Martinique), Pr-3 (Martinique). Heart-shaped cut out from a 1724 S-J Spain 2 Reales. Historically cataloged under Martinique, it is now believed that these pieces were actually cut in Gibraltar and then possibly exported to the Caribbean for use in Martinique or Dominica. A very rare and charming specimen."
