This specimen was lot 425 in Künker sale 263 (Osnabrück, June 2015), where it sold for €4,400 (about US$5,684 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Magdeburg, STADT Reichstaler 1617, auf die 100-Jahrfeier der Reformation. Dav-5509; Slg. Whiting 56 var.; v. Schr. 962. RR Hübsche Patina, sehr schön +. Die Rückseite zeigt die Reformatoren Johannes Hus (1369-1415) und Martin Luther (1483-1546). (city of Magdeburg, thaler of 1617, on the centennial of the Reformation. Rare, nice toning, very fine or better. The reverse depicts the reformers John Hus and Martin Luther.)"
